What a busy day!
What a busy day!
First stop: Big Ben and the London Eye!
Walking out of the Tube (subway) , we were greeted by the amazing sight of Big Ben. This monstrosity of a clock made me speechless! Never before had I seen something that big!
Then, a quick walk over the bridge, we were there! The London Eye was an awe-striking sight! Yet even though I knew that it was perfectly safe, I was still nervous at the slight chance of falling into the murky waters below. But as soon as we got in the capsule, all worries disappeared! The view was spectacular and the slight motion of the turning wheel made the angle change every moment! Perfect for photographers!
Best time to go to the London Eye is at around 10:00am. Lines were very short when we arrived, but as soon as we got into the big capsule, the lines started to lengthen.
Second stop: St. James Park
After the London Eye was over, we headed for high tea at Fortum & Mason. Along the way we stopped at a bookstore then headed for a park. After a little break in the park, just reading on the grass, we were ready for our next adventure.
Third stop: High tea!!!
I totally recommend going to high tea somewhere if you are visiting London. It's a great way to relax and enjoy some of England's finest teas and biscuits. A very cute and fun way to spend a afternoon! (not to mention the foods great!)
Fourth(and final) stop: The fountain
After a long day on the road, there's nothing better then just relaxing and cooling of in a nice pool…… or fountain! This is our second trip to the fountain and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time! What a great way to remember Princess Diane, while having fun!
Whew, that was a long day!
