Sixth Day at Sweet Grass

July 14th, 2012

Howdy!
Today was, unfortunately, our last full day at Sweet Grass! I can't believe it's already almost over! Being out west has definitely been one of my best vacation experiences!!! Everyone was so nice to us and it was so sad that some of them had to leave today. Jake, Ben, Molly and their dad left right after breakfast, leaving everyone definitely a little bit sadder.
Soon, our frowns were turned upside down when it was time to play some Gym Kehena games (Gym Kehena, which is I think how you spell it, are basically games you play on horseback)!!!! First up: barrel racing!!! This was the very first time I’ve ever done barrel racing because I only ride English at home. It was so fun and a little bit scary too!!!
After that, it was time for some old-fashioned spoon and egg racing with real eggs!! It’s really hard to balance an egg on a spoon, in case you didn’t know. It’s even harder on a moving horse!!! I think I might have one the first time, but the second time I dropped my egg in the race to the finish! Trotting makes it even harder to balance the egg!!!....
